Cañete, founder of world-renowned ‘eskrima,’ dies

Ciriaco “Cacoy” Cañete, a world-famous Filipino martial artist and the last of the great original teachers and developers of the unique Filipino martial arts “eskrima,” died here on Friday at the age of 96.
