A Fighting ChanceBefore 15-year-old Gabrielle Allen of Gloversville started training at Pazzaglia’s American Kenpo Karate in Johnstown a few years ago, she was having issues with a bully at Gloversville High School. Bullying was one of the main reasons that Allen and her step-siblings, Jasmine Rousseau, 14, and Lilly Rousseau, 8, signed up for karate lessons at Pazzaglia’s, according to Allen’s stepmother and the Rousseaus’ mother, Traci Rousseau.

KARATE MASTER PATRICK BEAUMONTNorth west karate expert Michael Quinn has been appointed to a prestigious body to promote the traditions of the martial art. Sensei Quinn, as he is known to his students, was selected to serve as the Traditional Karate Kobudo Organisation’s (TOKKO) representative for the North and Donegal.

DePasquale, Jr., son of the late Ju-Jitsu pioneer Michael DePasquale, Sr., was the publisher of Karate International Magazine, the largest full-color martial arts and entertainment magazine in the world and the first magazine to cover the UFC.
