This 81-year-old Padma Shri Awardee Has Been Practicing Kalaripayattu Since She Was 5 Years Old

Meenakshi Amma has been a teacher of ancient Kalaripayattu martial arts in India for free for many years. The 81-year-old was awarded the highly prestigious Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2017 to recognise her passion for teaching free martial arts to children.
